Mphatlalatsane Eagles FC's Under 13 and Under 15 teams represented the club at the 2026 QDL Championships, held at Bluegumbosch Stadium on 16 May 2026, following their successful league campaigns as QDL Stream Champions.

After both teams were crowned champions of their respective streams earlier in the season, the Championships presented a new challenge and an opportunity to compete against other leading teams for overall QDL honours.

Our Under 13 team competed with determination and gave everything on the field. Their journey ultimately came to an end in the semi-finals, bringing their championship campaign to a close.

Despite the disappointment, reaching the Championships and progressing to the semi-finals was another valuable experience for the young Eagles and an opportunity for the players to test themselves at a higher level of competition.

Our Under 15 team went one step further.

The boys fought their way through the competition and secured a place in the final, putting the Eagles within one match of becoming overall QDL champions.

Unfortunately, the final did not go our way. Our Under 15s finished the competition in second place, earning silver medals and being crowned runners-up of the 2026 QDL Championships.

While we would have loved to return home with the championship trophy, we are immensely proud of what both teams accomplished. They entered the Championships as Stream Champions and represented the Eagles with determination, courage and pride.
