Mphatlalatsane Eagles FC began the year by adding another achievement to the club’s growing record, as our Under 15 team finished as runners-up at the 2025 MAPLFA Junior League Championships.

Having been crowned 2025 MAPLFA Under 15 Junior League Stream Champions, the Eagles earned the opportunity to represent their stream at the Championships on 30 January 2026, where the leading teams came together to compete for the overall title.

Our Under 15s opened their campaign against Young Ideas. The Eagles rose to the occasion and secured the victory needed to advance to the final.

In the final, we came up against Africana Stars, with the overall championship at stake. Despite the determination and effort shown by our boys, the result did not go our way, and the Eagles had to settle for second place.

The team was subsequently awarded silver medals as runners-up of the MAPLFA Under 15 Junior League Championships.

The result marked the second consecutive year that our Under 15 team reached the final of the MAPLFA Championships but narrowly missed out on the overall title. While that is a difficult record to accept, reaching back-to-back championship finals demonstrates the consistency and competitiveness of this group.
